Facebook's 2018 Algorithm Update
In the spirit of the new year, the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, is changing Facebook’s algorithm (again) to show you more of the personal moments that spark connections with others.
What does this mean?
You’ll see less public content – posts from businesses, brands and media – and more posts from your friends and family.
Zuckerberg’s inspiration came from research showing that when social media is used to connect with people we care about, it can be good for our well-being. This research also found that passive article reading and video watching isn’t so great for us.
Don’t take it personally; it’s the algorithm.
